My deepest sympathy to all the Carter family. My special memories of my Uncle LaVern are that he was always joking and teasing with us kids. It was never a dull moment when he was around you. With Dad and Mom, Donald and Louise with LaVern and Joyce they stayed up all night and they were loud. They were out to win. And the Elvis......... You ain't nothin but a hound dog you were great. To the Carter family I am so sorry for your loss. Even though I never met any of you, I just wanted you to know how special LaVern was to me and to your Uncle Buford Light. He was the best man for your Uncle Buford and I when we got married in 1979. He has always held a very special place in our hearts. Buford left us in 2008 and I know there is a wonderful reunion going on today in heaven. May God bless you all during this most difficult hour and in the days to come.
