Vicki Lynn Thomas' Obituary
Vicki Lynn Thomas, 61, of Promise City, Iowa passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026 at the Corydon Specialty Care in Corydon, Iowa.
Vicki was born on July 10, 1964 in Cold Spring, New York to William and Virginia (Conklin) Thomas. She graduated high school in New York.
Loving and caring for her plants and people in her life brought Vicki the greatest joy. She had a big heart for any kind of animal that may cross her path. Vicki's favorite holiday was Halloween, she was always able to use her crafting and beadwork skills. She was an excellent cook, making meals for her mother and her to enjoy together. Vicki also took great interest in her Scottish heritage, and loved to learn all she could about Scotland, especially the handmaid kilt that her mother had shipped in, made just for her.
Vicki is survived by her mother, Virginia Thomas; brother, Brian Thomas and beautiful sister-in-law, Katie; multiple nieces and nephews, Kiersten, Matthew, Amanda and Irelyn along with many extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Thomas, and her husband, Mark Poreman.
Per her wishes cremation has been accorded. There will be no services at this time. Memorials may be made to any cancer research of your choosing in honor of Vicki and condolence may be shared online at or .
