My favorite teacher of all time! I always felt so loved when Mrs Rice was in the room. When we moved away, and came back to Cincinnati to visit school, she would meet us with a warm embrace, a loving heart, and a smiling face. She knew how to make each student feel special. My love and sympathy go out to her family, you were blessed to have such a wonderful person in your lives, and she will be missed by many of us. Thelma Rice was the sweetest teacher we could have had. She was loved by our entire family. We sisters all talk about our fond memories of her often. Linda always said, When Mrs. Rice had on her red earrings, we knew it was going to be a good day. I remember her reading to us and her voice was so soothing, but her smile was so sparkling.
