Dear Pierce family, I was so sad to see Richard's picture in the obituary section of today's paper! He was one of my first students when I started teaching in Centerville, and I was so surprised that he was my classmate's son. I remember him as kind and considerate and attentive and appreciated him. Please know that my heart is with you as are my prayers.
