I am saddened to learn of Richard's passing, and I wish to express my deepest sympathies to Richard's family on their loss. My mother was Margaret Ann Harrington -- the daughter of Nicholas & Della Harrington, and I believe that my grandfather, Nicholas Leo Harrington, and Richard's father (Paul) were brothers -- this would have made Richard my mother's uncle, and my great-uncle. It has been many, many years since those summer days in the 1960's when as a little boy I used to stay at Grandpa & Grandma Harrington's house in Unionville, and would run around town playing with all the kids, and visiting the adults. It almost seems like a dream, or a different life, because it was so long ago. I remember Richard, and even remember that they lived on the corner of main street and the Blakesburg Road in a big ole 2-story house. I don't remember everyone's names, but I do remember one of Richard's daughters was a barrel racer (horses) and had a set-up for that behind their house. I remember Uncle John & Aunt Helen very vividly, and Aunt Myrtle too, but not as vividly. Anyway, I am sorry for your loss, and pray that the Lord comforts you now and always -- and I know that He wants to. 1 Thessalonians 413-17 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God and the dead in Christ shall rise first 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
