Pauline Golick's Obituary
Pauline Golick, age 95, of Centerville, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at MercyOne Medical Center in Centerville.
Pauline was born on October 18, 1927 in Plano, Iowa, the daughter of Herbert and Cloe (Wells) Joiner. She graduated from Centerville High School with the Class of 1945. On July 2, 1947, Pauline was united in marriage to Frank C. Golick, and to this union, two children were born, Ronald and Linda.
Following high school graduation, Pauline taught school for a couple of years. She then worked at Drug Store for about 5 years before accepting a position at ASCS in Centerville, where she worked for approximately 35 years. She was a long-time member of the Drake Avenue Christian Church. Most of her adult life, she was also a member of the Hospital Auxiliary and a member of the Bridge Club.
Left to cherish Pauline's memory are her daughter, Linda Parker (Russ Eggers); her daughter in law, Carolyn Golick; three grandchildren, Doug (Erinn) Golick, Chris (Sarah) Golick and Jim Golick; four great grandchildren, Braden, Grace, Will and Asher; her sister, Marilyn Koehler; two sisters-in-law, Helen Joiner and Leona Golick; as well as several extended family members.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Cloe Joiner; her husband, Frank Golick; her son, Ronald Golick; her grandson, Brad Parker; as well as four brothers, Roscoe, Ronald, Royce, and Richard; and two sisters, Carol and Reba.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, September 18, 2023 at Drake Avenue Christian Church in Centerville, with Pastor Gary Brooks officiating. Burial will follow the service at Oakland Cemetery in Centerville. Visitation will take place Monday, September 18, 2023, at Drake Avenue Christian Church in Centerville with the family greeting friends from 10:00AM-11:00AM.
