Margaret Zimmer's Obituary
Margaret Zimmer, 92, of Centerville passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. Margaret was born to Bernard & Inez (Main) DeBoule on January 6, 1926 in Moravia. She received her education from Moravia Schools, graduating in 1943. On September 7, 1947, Margaret was united in marriage to Robert Zimmer. He preceded her in 1985. Margaret enjoyed gardening, feeding birds and squirrels, walking and picking flowers. Margaret worked for many years as a clerk at Ben Franklin on the Centerville Square. Survivors include two nieces: Kathleen Summy (Kelly) of Desoto, IA, Kristina McNeish (Jim) of IA City, nephew, David Koziol of Ankeny, three great nephews: Elijah Mcneish (Jordan) and their daughter, Cassi, Jonah McNeish and Seth McNeish. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, sister, Virginia Koziol, nephew, Bernard Koziol, parents and a significant other, Louis Cortesio. Funeral service will be 1:30 pm, Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Interment will immediately follow in Haines Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Friday, September 7, 2018 at Thomas Funeral Home.
