Margaret Zimmer, 92, of Centerville passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. Margaret was born to Bernard & Inez (Main) DeBoule on January 6, 1926 in Moravia. She received her education from M Read Obituary

This is a sad time for all the family, but a rejoicing for all the family who have gone before. The reuniting will be a joy. So sorry I can't get down there for services, I am being treated for bad sciatic nerve pain right now (arthritic bone spur on spinal cord where sciatic leaves it to go down the leg) and I can't sit for more than 5 minutes or so. She will be in my thoughts and prayers during this time, as will all the family. Being almost twenty years younger, I did not know Margaret as a young gal, but when visiting Grandparents and saw Bob and her several times, we had fun. When I had my own kids and we visited in Mystic, the kids always wanted to go to Ben Franklin, and called Margaret 'that nice lady' - and she surly was! A super person.
Margaret was a delightful person. Her mother lived across the street from me. I loved seeing her at the Homestead when I visited my dad.
Margaret and Virginia DeBoule were my second cousins. I was a city child and when I was very young they lived out on a farm. I loved visiting them when we went to Mystic to visit our grandparents. The farm was wonderful and they let me make mud pies and feed the chickens, it was a big deal for a city child. As we grew up, when she and her sister were teen agers and we visited, we would sleep in their bedroom and they would tell us ghost stories that were not so scary, but great fun. Oh how lovely Margaret was with such a soft voice with that beautiful Iowa twang. Both girls were wonderful. My thoughts are with the family and I hope they know that maybe Margaret just got tired and wanted to join those she loved so much that went before her. Mary Lou Patriarcaxxxxx
Margaret has always been a very special person to me-even as a kid, I remember her as a young lady that I admired so much. I will forever be thankful to her for the love, friendship and help she showed to my mother. Rest in peace my wonderful cousin and special lady. Suzanne Abbott
Remember aunt Inez, Barney, Virginia and Margaret always came to our house in Rathbun for Thanksgiving and Easter. We went to their house for Christmas dinner. My mom and dad loved spending time with Margaret and Bob. After dad passed away, she spent a lot of time with Mom. Margaret was so good to mom. A wonderful lady.
