Margaret was my Grandmother. She was a great lady. I lived in Idaho so I didn't get to live by her, but she never forgot us. She would send us Grandpas caramels and fudge each Christmas. I remember her sending me a dress and a doll that she had made for me that had a dress and a matching blanket with Strawberry Shortcake on it. (She was my favorite at the time.) She also sent me underwear she had made that really embarrassed me as a youngster! That meant a lot to me. But when I was in 8th grade I was able to go live with her for a few months. She was so good to me and always trying to help me. That was a precious moment in time that I got to be with her all by myself. I will always love her and cherish her legacy of hard work and dedication to family. My Aunt Marilyn did so much to help her in her later years, I want to say a Huge THANKS to her too.
