Loretta and I became close friends after high school. We had children the same age and husbands who worked the same midnight shift. We spent countless evenings playing cards and talking into the wee hours of the morning. We shared many joys and the sorrow of losing Jim Houser. In later years, we shared our love of traveling with Tom and my husband, Larry, and then the loss of each of them. Again, we talked into the wee hours of the morning. She was a great listener and someone I could always count on to be straight with me. I will miss her dearly. May she now rest in peace. My sincerest sympathy to her loved ones. Carol O'Neil
