I think I first met Lois in 1994, when I traveled to Iowa to meet my boyfriend's family for the first time. We ended up moving to Iowa briefly for a year, and I was fortunate to get to know Lois during that time. While we left Iowa in 1995, I always felt a fondness for Lois and enjoyed our phone chats through the years. We were lucky to host her at our house a couple times as well, and those are cherished memories. Lois was full of life, laughter, and spunk. Her laugh was infectious and I loved hearing her stories. She knew everything about the family history, and I am sad at her passing. RIP, Aunt Lois, you are loved and missed.
