Lois Harris Obituary's Obituary
Lois Maxine Harris 69, of Moulton passed away Monday, August 22, 2011 at Golden Age in Centerville, Iowa. Lois was born to Ben and Bernice (Brooke) Harris on October 26, 1941 in Centerville, Iowa. She graduated salutatorian of her class, from Moulton-Udell in 1960. She was employed throughout the years at the following businesses in the Centerville area; Tots to Teens, Iowa Trust and Savings Bank, Neely's, J.C. Penney's and Dudenhoeffer's Tax Service. Lois dedicated her life to the Lord and was baptized at a young age. She was a member of the Lancaster Christian Church, Lancaster, MO. She was faithful, involved in Sunday School and Bible School teaching. Lois loved children and her family meant everything to her. She was talented in sewing and craft making, creating puppets for use in teaching children and many other craft items designed for gifts and enjoyment for family and friends. Lois is survived by a brother, Leonard (Patty) Harris of Moulton and a sister, LeAnna (Gary) Ray of Moulton. She is also survived by three nephews; Travis (Tiffany) Harris of Moulton, Cody (Ling) Harris of Irmo, SC, Chad (Amy) Ray of Leon, IA and one niece, Lori (Thadd) Wright of Fort Worth, TX. Also surviving are four great nephews; Ben and Dan Harris of Moulton, Logan Harris of Irmo, SC, Jackson Ray of Leon, IA, and three great nieces; Annika Harris of Moulton, Emmey Harris of Irmo, SC, and Morgan Ray of Leon, IA. Lois was preceded in death by her parents and an infant nephew. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 27 at Thomas Funeral Home with Steve Altheide officiating. Visitation will be all day Friday with the family present from 6-8 p.m at Thomas Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sunset View Cemetery near Moulton. Memorials may be given to Lancaster Christian Church, Lancaster, Missouri or P.O.E.M.
