Leslie was a great friend. I have many memories of Leslie from nursing school and working together. Some of my fondest memories are from our trip to Sturgis in 1995. Leslie and Richard, Kevin and myself and Kenny and Rachel Collins all loaded up and headed out. After riding the motorcycles all day and sleeping in a tent all night, we needed a hot shower. We found a truck stop that offered showers for $4 each, our prayers were answered. While we ate, Leslie went for the first shower. That was our first mistake...lol. After an hour and a half, we went to check on her. She was just finishing her make-up and had her hair done to perfection. We laughed cause after 5 minutes on the back of the bike, her hair was a rats nest...but she looked good. I think it only took under 30 minutes total for the other 5 of us to shower. Then later in the trip while in Deadwood, the guys were helping some old ladies park while us girls were across the parking lot. When unexpectantly Rachel started yelling (not so nicely) at Kenny. It scared the heck out of those old ladies but Leslie and I laughed so hard. I still laugh when I think about that. Leslie was a good friend and died way to young. I am thinking of all the family during this difficult time. Posted by Marlene Williamson August 11, 2011
