Pam, so sorry to hear of your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Thinking of the family, very sorry for your loss. I do not get back to Mystic very often any more.
Leo would bend over backwards for anyone that ever needed help. If I ever needed him for something or a piece of equipment was broke down and it was on a weekend and he was fishing somewhere he would say give me a few minutes to get things picked up and I'll be headed your way. Never once did he turn me away when I had a problem. He would catch potential problems on trucks or equipment before they happened and would tell you what was needed to correct the problems. There was times that I never did really understand how he got a certain repair done by himself. He was a problem solver thats for sure. He would come up with more jigs or ideas on how to get to something that seemed impossible. Never once did I ever see or hear Leo get mad. I never once ever heard him bad mouth anyone. He was that type of person and a person that we should all want to be (like him). I remember Dad (Bob Reed) would be upset with Leo about something and say something to him and Leo would never argue back, he would just do what ever it took to make it right. The knowledge this man had with engines and mechanics was unbelievable. Leo was a 'MASTER FISHERMAN' in my book! But yet he never saw himself really as one, he could give you more tips on fishing then anyone I've ever meet. If you told him a story of a fishing experience or about a fish someone caught, he would never come back and try to better it with one of his stories and you know that he has alot of fishing stories that would blow your story out of the water. But he never tried to act or better himself in front of you. He was a listner, not a braggart, he didn't boast himself, he didn't place himself above you, he didn't look down on you and its not that he couldn't have, that's for sure! But it wasn't Leo's way. We should all remember Leo for what lessons he taught us in life and the way he lived it. HE WAS TRULY ONE OF THE GOOD GUYS! God Bless!
WAS SHOCKED TO HEAR OF THE PASSING OF LEO TODAY. I HAVE BEEN FRIENDS WITH LEO FROM OUR DAYS IN MYSTIC AS KIDS AND THROUGH LIFE IN ALBIA. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH ALL OF THE FAMILY AT THIS TIME. THE FLATHEADS IN HEAVEN HAD BETTER BE ON THEIR TOES NOW THAT LEO WILL BE THERE FISHING FOR THEM AND FEEDING HIS FRIENDS WITH HIM.
Still cant believe he is gone
