We remember LaVerne and Maynard as great friends and supporters when we moved to Corydon, when I became the Girl's basketball coach when Carla was a Junior in HS. Great supporters through wins and losses. After a tough loss during the great 1971 season, our door bell rang, at the door were Maynard and LaVerne, along with other parents to give moral support. My sincere sympathies to all of you. I have alot of fond memories growing up of her and Maynard. She was AUNT LaVerne and he was Grandpa Maynard. I had the blessing of seeing her the past few years and she was just the same wonderful woman I remembered. A life well lived. God Bless. My love to you all.
Thinking of all of you at this side time. Your family made us feel at home when we moved to Iowa. Lots of good memories at Cambria. I remember the kids 1st Halloween, your mom took me and the kids tricky or treating in Cambria. She truly was a awesome lady.. Will be greatly missed by all of us.
Laverne was one of my favorite people. She & Maynard invited Beth & I to camp in their camper with them & Chris & Darcy at the State Fair several times. We were treated as part of the family and she always made me feel that way. I could always count on a hug & a story. I will miss her. heart
So sorry for your loss of a wonderful Mom!!!! We moved there when I was 13yrs old and she was like a second Mom to me.She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.I really enjoyed our last visit at Old Settler's in Aug 2019.She always had a great big smile on her face when I saw her and she would always give me a great big hug and said,she was glad to see me.May God Bless you all at this time and celebrate her life!!!!
