Larry ""Loose"" Long's Obituary
Larry (Loose) Long, age 73 of Centerville, Iowa, died Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Aspen Rehab & Health Care, Silvis, IL.
Larry was born March 4, 1941 in Plano, Iowa, the son of Lewis E. and Margaret Pearson Long. He married Judith West September 18, 1960 in Centerville, Iowa. Larry was retired from the Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Rathbun.
Larry is survived by his wife, Judith Long; two children, Melinda (Duane) Berner of Stuart, Iowa and Larry (Julie) Long of Walcott, Iowa; grandchildren, Tasha (Larry Marvin) Norton of Moulton, Iowa, Tiffany (Curt) Wolfe of Dexter, Iowa, D.J. (Tahara) Norton of Johnston, Iowa, Kristina (Josh) Renslow of Stuart, Iowa, Kelli Berner of Stuart, Iowa, Nathanael O'Connell of Davenport, Iowa; 11 great grandchildren; sister Terri Winters of Bowie, Texas, Linda (Danny) Kaster of Rathbun, Iowa, and Mike (Butch) Long of Moulton, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandchild, Jacob O'Connell; and a brother, Lewis (Junior) Long.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM Wednesday afternoon, April 2, 2014 at the Lange Funeral Home & Crematory, Centerville, Iowa with Pastor Brian Hargrave officiating. Visitation will be from 12PM until service time at 2PM at the Lange Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial has been established to the family and may be left at the funeral home.
