Here are just a few memories to remember my little brother, Ed. You loved animals, reading, farming and school. in later years, you always knew when to buy and sell at the market, making the farm successful. As a little guy, you built farm land on the parlour floor, using string and toothpicks to design fields and roads. You used marbles for your horses. I remember when Clair bought two wild horses in western Nebraska and they were delivered at the farm near Palmyra, Nebraska. They were placed in a box stall in the barn where they kicked the stall walls. Dad was looking for you and he finally peeked over the box stall door. There you were in the box stall petting them and picking up their feet. Dad didn't say a word. You always had such a way with all the animals. You spent years taking care of mom and dad and I was happy for you when you found Ruth and her family. You traveled and especially enjoyed the mountains.. I remember when we all met iat Beth's house in Colorado. We laughed and played cards and games. That was the last time I saw you and I will remember what a great time we had.. At 96 years old, I am unable to attend services, but I wish to say good-by to my dear little brother. All my love, Rachel
