James 'Jim' Barnett's Obituary
James "Jim" G. Barnett, age 66, of Mediapolis, Iowa, formerly of Bloomfield, Iowa, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the Mediapolis Care Facility.
Jim was born September 30, 1954 at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield, the son of Gilmer and Hazel (Pugh) Barnett. Jim graduated from Davis County High School, and furthered his education at Indian Hills Community College, receiving his Associates Degree.
Jim enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball. He was also a fan of classic rock music. Jim was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church.
Left to honor Jims memory are his sister, Janice Barnett of Dyersburg, Tennessee; and a niece, Cheryl Pugh of Centerville.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Gilmer and Hazel Barnett; and an uncle, Bernard Pugh.
Per Jims wishes, cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 1:00PM, Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the West Grove Cemetery in West Grove, Iowa.
