I've known Jack and Joyce for years. Actually since I was a child. We all went to the Grace Tabernacle Church. I'm so sorry for your loss Joyce. He was such a precious and Good man of God. I saw him last when we were getting radiation treatments in Ottumwa at the same time. God bless his soul. I'm sure he's up there in heaven looking down on us with a smile. When I remember Bro. Jack, my heart is filled with fondness, respect and admiration for a precious brother and friend in Christ. He was on the Church Board when I came to Centerville, and I immediately saw Bro. Jack as a dear and true servant of Christ. He was a doer, an encourager and a friend to a young green preacher. Bro. Jack and Joyce have been an inspiration to me through our many years of acquaintance. Your loss is Heavens gain, and just makes going home that much sweeter. My last time to see Bro. Jack was this past October and he sang with Rod and Jack Middleton, How Great Thou Art. Jewell video that song and segment and I said to her and several others, it doesn't get any better than that! So sorry for your loss! Jack was a wonderful family man, gentle, easy going, generous, and a real testimony of his love for Christ. He was truly an inspiration to me. I know you will all draw strength from knowing he is a child of God, and this separation is not forever. We will see him again in glory. What a comfort to know he is with Jesus! I have a very fond memory of Jack when he was babysitting. i walked in on Meredith at about 18 months old, marking on the walls with magic marker, and his response to the problem was oh, we can just paint over it!. Theres alot to be said about Jack. I remember him always being busy with church,Which he really loved. He loved the Lord and it showed in his daily life. I dont know how he could ever climb a TV tower like he did thou. It always made me dizzy just watching him and Brad climb up there. My thoughts and prayers are with Joyce and the family.
