Jack LeRoy Scott's Obituary
Jack LeRoy Scott, age 79 of Moravia, Iowa passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
He was born October 3, 1935 to Walter N. Scott and Margery (Johnson) Scott. Jack married Rosetta Irene Helmick on October 26, 1962.
He is survived by three children, Linda (Larry) Wilson of Centerville, Kim (Jeff) Main of Cedar Rapids and Brad (Andrea) Scott of Moravia; grandchildren-Daniel (Nicole) Cowan of Polk City, Alyssa Cowan of Centerville, Mackenzie, Bailey, Zachary and Brody Main all of Cedar Rapids, Grady Scott, Alexa and Hadlee Bedford all of Moravia; a special great niece, Gracie Stallman Perry; brother ,Walter ""Buck"" Scott Jr.; sisters, Charlotte (Ron) Tisue of Moravia, Sondra (Dave) McReynolds of Albia; sister-in-law, Annie Scott of Moravia; and many nieces and nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosetta Irene Scott; sisters, Maxine (MT) Ewing, Lois (Luther) Caster; brothers, Billy Joe Scott and Bobby Lee Scott; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Scott.
Graveside services will be held at 3 PM Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Moravia with Reverend Ken Martin officiating. A visitation will be held on Saturday at Lange Funeral Home in Moravia from 10 AM-3 PM, with the family greeting friends from 1-3 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to Moravia Senior Citizen Meals and may be given to Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.
