IN LOVING MEMORY OF MY FATHER Herbet Thomas I was recently informed of my Dad's passing by an old friend of mine. Although miles seperated us and I wasn't able to spend as much time as I would have liked, he was very important to me. He was in my thoughts often and I loved him very much. He will be dearly missed. I have so many fond memories of him and our time together. I am his oldest Child from his first marriage. We worked several jobs toghether in as many places and I have learned many things from my Father. Some about work, but most about life and how people should be treated. Herb Thomas was a man of his word and due to his influence, so am I. He taught me loyaltly, trust, and the importance of both. He taught me the importance of a hard days work and that there is no shame in a job well done. I may have been a bit of a handful in my youth, but I am a descent man because of my Father's influence. Herb was a jolly man who loved to laugh. It was impossible to keep a straight face in his presence. There was always a good timeto be had when Herb was around. This is how I choose to remember my Dad, drinking a beer, telling stories and laughing till our sides hurt. This is also my families memory of him. Lots of fun and laughter. My wife Loretta, and I were married in his home in 1980, a few years later he lived with us in our home in Taxas. We have many fond memories of these times as well. My Family loved my Father very much and he will hold a very special place in all our hearts. He was truly a special man.
