HARALDINE HARBERT's Obituary
Haraldine Mae Harbert, the youngest child of Claude and Bertha (Whitmore) Barrickman, was born on a farm in Franklin Township, Appanoose County, Iowa on March 19, 1917 and passed away at Worcester, Massachusetts on April 27, 2010. As a young child she lived on a farm where her father raised oats and corn. They also had cows for milk and pigs to eat and sell. In addition to farming, her father was a carpenter and later purchased Haraldine's grandfather's little country store in Genoa, a little town about two miles from their farm. The family moved to Genoa when Haraldine was ready to start school. She attended the Genoa school for eight years and then attended and graduated from Seymour High School in 1934. After getting a certificate to teach, she taught in the Seymour Elementary School for 39 years. Haraldine married Zell J. "Junior" Harbert September 17, 1940 and to this union one son, Donald, was born. The family lived in Seymour where Junior was a mail carrier. She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior, in 1981 and after her last sibling, Marguerite Barrickman, died in November 2001, Haraldine moved to Shrewsbury, Massachusetts to be near her son and his family.
