Haraldine Mae Harbert, the youngest child of Claude and Bertha (Whitmore) Barrickman, was born on a farm in Franklin Township, Appanoose County, Iowa on March 19, 1917 and passed away at Worcester, Massachusetts on April 27, 2010. Read Obituary
Mrs. Harbert taught my mother in country school (yth grade) for what I believe was her first year of teaching. She was my homeroom teacher for 7th grade as well. She loved children, and knew how to keep order. I was sorry to see her leave Seymour, but knew that with no more family connections here, it was important for her to be close to her son. I did not get word of her passing, until the funeral was over. She had a great sense of humor, which I am sure carried her through some difficult times. We miss you, Mrs. Harbert!
