i remember her as always smiling even when it was a busy time with the day care and give her time to answer ,feed and plan for the day .Glo was willing to go out of her way to help her day care parents with what they needed. It was always happy times with a house full of kids.
Grandma was such an amazing person. I have so many memories with grandma from having sleepovers at her house and watching old movies and TV shows, to her showing me her favorite paintings. She taught me so much throughout my life, being both compassionate and strong at the same time. I am so lucky to have had her in my life. I will miss the way she loved my dads cooking, and how excited she got telling stories to my mom. Thank you for everything you did for me. Love, Belle
Glo gave me the gift of my very dearest friend, Caroline. Thank you Glo. She passed down her big beautiful open heart, her humor, and her ability to persevere with perspective to her daughter and, no doubt, to countless others. What a legacy! I remember that no matter how full her home was with people from multiple generations and work and responsibilities, she always made me feel like I was important, never just another kid in the house. She would stop and talk, ask questions, tell stories and laugh and laugh. Glo had a gentle way of teaching powerful lessons about life, love and friendship. Much love to all of her family.
Glo was such a special person. She always had so positivity and happiness to share with those around her. Like my sister Jaden said, she was really like another Grandma to us. Glo had one of those smiles that could light up a room. You could tell that she was one of those people that never took a day for granted. Glo exuded so many incredible things and I feel so lucky to have known her. She loved her family more than anything and my thoughts and prayers go out to them. Thanks for everything Glo; you were the bees knees.
Great Aunt Glo was such a wonderful lady-I've never heard my grandma laugh harder than when she was talking to her sister. I remember the 3 of us went on a little day trip through Northern Minnesota. Betty and Glo were probably the worst navigators I could have asked for because they kept making each other laugh and forgetting to tell me where to go. We got lost a lot on that trip but I'll always remember it fondly. My condolences to the Montgomery family; Glo will be missed.
Grandma Glo was the sweetest and kindest human. I am so blessed the grow up with a grandma like Glo. I have so many fond memories of when she would come visit us in California and be so amazed of the garden, flowers and birds in the backyard. While visiting she would go with my mom to drop us off and pick us up from school and it was always so exciting to see her at the end of the day. On top of that she would always come to watch my baseball games and she would be so proud and happy no matter how well I played. I could go on on with stories but those two are good examples of how she would radiate happiness. She will be greatly missed in will be in our hearts forever!
To Caroline and the entire family: Glo was a compassionate and friendly person who welcomed all into her home. She had a big heart and a big laugh, I will remember her with love.
Glo was a true delight. A woman who shared her laughter, positivity and love unconditionally. I am so fortunate that 20 some years ago I drove past the cute white and blue house with the Daycare by Glo sign outside. She broke her own rules and took in our daughter Amy, even though she didn't meet the minimum age requirement. For the last 20 years Glo guided Amy, me and my husband through life's ups and downs. After she closed her daycare Glo would have Amy over for sleepovers. Those two and Duffy had great fun watching movies, playing games and baking. I deeply appreciate Glo's friendship. She became extra important after my mom died. She became a surrogate grandma for Amy. Glo's love and pride of her children, their spouses and her grandchildren was very evident. She shared all their accomplishments. Bill, Amy and I thank the Montgomery family for sharing your mom and grandma with us. I miss her very much but I see her smiling face and can hear her wonderful laugh. ❤
I couldn't have grown up with a better grandma, my favorite memories with her growing up were spending time at her house, just hanging out. I used to love to sit and watch birds with her because she always could tell me about the different kinds of birds! I was so blessed to have such a kind, loving, and gracious grandma in my life as long as I have <3
As a child, my Aunt Glo was the one who always wrapped me in soft, happy , laughing hugs. I remember watching her tell stories with Mom that had them both laughing until the tears ran. My Grandma Glines often called me "Glo" by mistake, but I always took it as an affectionate compliment. Now, two of my favorite recipes bring her to mind often; Glo's Brownies, and Aunt Glo's Chocolate Chip Cookies. They are a family tradition at our house.
