My dear sweet cousin.... I remember you today, the day you were born. You were taken from us way too soon. You lived your life to the fullest in the short time you were here and set an amazing example for others. You were like a big sister to my kids and they loved you. Whether you were all going to a show, a concert, brunch, or just hanging out. Now you get to hang out with my little brother. I never got to meet him but I know he's pretty cool! Gina was one of my dearest friends. There are so many things I miss about her - her empathy for others, her infectious laugh, her advice, her curiosity, and so much more. I was always so impressed by Gina's enthusiasm for life and her bravery. Not many people can as an adult, move to a new city on their own and build a rich life with new friends and interests. Gina was able to do this more than once.Gina - I'll miss you terribly. Love Nikki
Gina was my piano student and a highlight of my teaching week. Smart, funny, and so musical...her passion for music and for making it a priority in life, was an inspiration! She wanted to learn to play songs she loved...and learn she did! Whether it was Harry Connick, Jr., the Beatles, or her beloved Foo Fighters, she worked hard. I know that she found great joy, curiosity, and adventure in life. Most of all, it was clear that she loved, and was loved by, a beautiful community of family and friends. I will always remember Gina - one of my favorite students in more than 35 years of teaching. My heart is with all who love and miss her. Gina was such a positive, bright shining light in this world and she will be greatly missed. We enjoyed brunch and fine dining and went to many many concerts and music festivals together. I probably would not have seen half as many bands as I have if it weren't for Gina. We also shared a love of travel and were lucky enough to take many amazing travel adventures together. I'm so grateful to have known Gina and am honored to call her a friend. I will miss you, my absolutely fabulous friend, but I will keep my head up and when it is safe to do so again, I will be back out there enjoying concerts and travels and fine dining as I know you would have.
