Gaylon Lee Warnick's Obituary
Gaylon Warnick, age 50 of Allerton passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.
Gaylon Lee Warnick was born to Edwin and Mary (Wilmont) Warnick on July 29, 1971 in Iowa City, Iowa. He attended schools in Allerton and Corydon and graduated from Wayne Community High School in 1990. He was united in marriage to Tammy Rene Selby on July 25, 2009. They had five children: Rick, Stephanie, John, Larry, and CJ. Gaylon was a jack of all trades; he was always busy doing something. He loved going fishing and hunting, mowing yards, caring for his rabbits, and doing woodworking projects. Most of all Gaylon enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and especially loved the time he got to spend with his grandchildren. Most recently Gaylon worked at East Penn Manufacturing.
He was preceded in death by his father Edwin Warnick, sister, Marguerite Henderson, and son, John Selby.
He is survived by his loving wife Tammy Warnick, mother Mary Warnick, mother-in-law Linda Blake, children: Rick, Stephanie (John), Larry (Serena), and CJ, seven grandchildren, sisters: Sandee Salsberry (Tom) and Wendy Howard, many extended family members and several friends.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon with Pastor Josh Appel officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service from 10-11 a.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon. Interment will immediately follow the service at the Allerton Cemetery.
