Gram-Gram, I'm sorry I was not with you in your final hours, tho it brings me great peace and comfort knowing that the lord and my spirit were alongside you. I will have your rosary and promise to recite the twenty mysteries as you did every night with me when I was a boy, to continue the tradition as you did all those nights. I will Always Remember our times on the porch, on the train to Chicago, and eating popcorn with M&M's late at night while you told me great stories! Grandma, You were always there no matter what. You were not only my grandma but also like a second mom as I was growing up. I remember those nights you would let us get up and eat a bowl of fruity pebbles at 1a.m. Also all of the back scratching. To this day I have my daughter Alexis scratch my back just like you did so I can fall asleep. Grandma, You were so patient and kind, giving and selfless, strong and beautiful. You are my angel. I remember the long bedtime stories, the visits to Aunt Eva's farm where there was Always homemade goodies, and the nights that you comforted me when Dad was away. I remember bananas and milk for breakfast and your delicious Steak and Polenta. I remember dancing with my feet on top of yours and the way you used to brush my hair. I will miss you more than words can say but I know you were met with Dad and Uncle Lou's open arms. I love you Grandma and I will forever hold these memories close to my heart.... All though we never had the chance to meet I want you to know that I have heard amazing things about you and what a wonderful woman you were. It breaks my heart knowing your gone and I will never meat you because I will never see your beautiful smile and hear your sweet and warm voice. I have really good memories of working with Franny. She was a caring, kind and sensible nurse. I remember that she took a leave of absence from her work when she needed to care for family members.
