Fern was the mother of Chris, my childhood neighbor and friend. She was also our Cub Scout leader. RIP

So sorry for your loss. Fern was special. She HANDmade my first prom dress from a drawing I gave her and made me a special quilt for my high school graduation which I still use 45 years later. I also remember she had a green thumb with lots of plants in her house and yard. My prayers go out to her family. Rest In Peace.

My youngest, Phineas, first meeting his great grandmother and Fern was quite taken by his hair and smile. I felt that they were two leads in a pod!
Grandma Fern loved to walk and swim and one of our favorite pastimes together was to go up to the Rec Center and go for a swim. Here she is giving her first great grandchild, Isabel, a swimming lesson. 💓
Grandma made such an impact in my life. I credit her with my love for geriatrics, cooking, reading, and long walks. I looked forward to our yearly summer vacation in Iowa to spend time with her and grandpa. I am so glad all my children got to spend time with her.
