My dad, Carl Corbett, worked with Eunice for many years at KCOG. I felt it was a great privilege to know as she was a very special lady who always had the greatest smile. I was so sorry to hear of her passing, knowing that the world will be a less brighter place without her. Curt, Shelley, Easton, & Brett Mickey are dear friends of ours. We have attended services together at the Scott County Church of Christ in Kentucky for many years. Over those years we have had the pleasure of meeting several of Curt's family members including Ms. Eunice Mickey. Wow, what can I say. She was a wonderful woman. Her zest for life was and still is truly awe inspiring! She will be greatly missed, but we are very thankful that GOD blessed us to meet her. Ms. Eunice touched our lives with her caring and compassionate nature. She was a treasure! Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with each of you during this time of loss or sorrow. May GOD be with you all. May he comfort your hearts and guide your paths. Eunice Mickey lived up to her biblical name. The apostle Paul told Timothy, When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded in thee also (2 Timothy 15). Eunice was, above all, a woman of Christian faith. She was also a wonderful example of devotion to her husband Les and her children Ken, Linda, and Larry. And how she loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren as well. Everyone in the church and community knew and respected her for her faith, hope and love. Eunice has been a VERY SPECIAL LADY to our family. I (Tammie) have known Eunice since 1994 when I came into the Centerville Church of Christ. Les and her took me under their wings from then onward. My husband (Francis) got to know her in 1996 and our daughter has known her since she was born in 2001. She always called Eunice Grandma Eunice. Eunice told her she could call her grandma. Rejoicing that she is no longer in pain and that she is with her Lord in Heaven. She always put others first and was a GREAT CHRISTIAN EXAMPLE TO ME. I will always remember and love her.
