I am so sorry to hear of Ernestine's passing. We were friends through grade and high school. I used to love spending the night at her house on the farm. Also, when we turned 16 and got our driver licenses, she used to let me drive their big truck. I loved double-clutching it and she hated it. To all of Ernestine's family, I extend my deepest symathy and love and prayers your way for a quick healing of this sadness that you are all experiencing now. Ernestine was a great cousin with a good sense of humor. I enjoyed getting to really know her when she stayed with us in Columbia while she was attending the U. Of MO. I will miss her. Ernie watched my sister, brother and I for many years. When we remember Ernestine, we always smile at the ways she kept us preoccupied-which I am sure was not very easy, but she seemed to always enjoy. For example, my favorite thing to do was to make fried chicken. Ernestine would give us wet paper towels and we would roll them in sand into little pieces of chicken for lunch; I remember that I wanted to do this everyday.
