Edna R. Downs' Obituary
Edna Renee Downs, 56, of Seymour passed away at Wayne County Hospital in Corydon, Iowa on September 7, 2010.
Edna was born in Des Moines, Iowa on January 9, 1954 to Enis Fountain & Fonda Logsdon Fountain. She attended Seymour High School and completed the LPN & RN Nursing Programs at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa in 1991. She worked for Rural Health Care Advantage in Chariton, Iowa as an RN. Edna loved her time she got to spend with her grandson, Mason. She was a member of the Nazarene Church
She is survived by a son, Jacob (Mallory) Downs; grandson, Mason Downs; brothers, William ""Bill"" Downs, Don Johnson; and sister, Becky Conn.
Edna was preceded in death by her brother, Rick Downs and brother-in-law, Raymond Conn.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2pm Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Lange Funeral Home with Becky Conn officiating. Visitation will follow. A memorial has been established to her grandson's college fund, the ""Mason Downs College Fund' and may be left at the funeral home. Condolences may be left at: [email protected]
