I have been a friend since I moved here in 1984.We have birdied together many times and gone to the V.A. together . He did not do what his doctor ordered. He could be independent to put it mildly. He kept Bird records since he was young and wrote them down daily. I have many of his records. He has seen over 260 species In Appanoose County and saw most walking since he did not drive. He certainly lived his life simply and I will miss him. Tom Johnson
