Doug Mounce's Obituary
Doug Mounce, 71 of Corydon passed away at his home on March 18, 2019. Douglas Dee Mounce was born on March 26, 1947 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Hubert and Irene (Everman) Mounce. He graduated from Lisbon High School with the class of 1965 and then received a bachelor of science in agriculture from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Doug was united in marriage to Peggy Sue Faint on August 1, 1970 in Mt. Vernon, Iowa. They had two daughters; Keri and Amy. Doug enjoyed spending time with family, teaching, raising/judging livestock, auctioneering, mowing/planting trees/tending garden, and going to the casino. Doug is survived by his wife Peggy, daughters; Keri Mounce (Mike Wallace) and Amy Smith (Clint), grandson Treynor Smith, sisters; Cheri, Sondra and Kelly. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Doug on Sunday, March 24, 2019 from 12 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at the Sewal Community Center. Condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com.
