I just read in the Seymour Herald of Donnie's passing Aug. 12. I was a neighbor of the Bellon Family when we lived in the New York Union Twp. neighborhood. Donnie and I were classmates at Millerton from '47 - '50, and were H.S. classmates at Corydon until my family & I moved to Seymour in '51. Our paths went opposite directions, and never crossed again, but I have many clear memories of our farm and school activities, as well as my first trip to the IA State Fair with Donnie. Donnie was a Christian Gentleman, and has received his promotion prepared for us by the Lord Himself! ....From an old New York neighborhood friend, Miles C. Brewer

We share fond memories of Donnie as he and Nancy were some of the first families to welcome our family into the First Baptist Church when we moved our attendance to Corydon. Nancy was very involved in our Girls Guild and Donnie was a very active part of our church. He will be remembered as a many who dedicated his life to following God and raising a family who loved and followed God. Nothing greater could be said about a person's life on earth. That is the greatest honor he could receive, as he enters heaven and hears, 'Well done my good and faithful servant.' We know he is in heaven resting from life's toil here on earth, in the presence of the Almighty God who created him. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family as they experience the loss of their beloved husband, father, and good friend.
