Dear Dave, Sherry & families, Just found out today, Jan 19th, of the passing of your father. We have so many good memories of each of them. Was such a pleasure to work with Don at Hawkeye those years and friends with both your dad and mom. Wonderful folks. We now live in Colfax, Ia since June 2007, to be close to our only grandson. Dear David and Sherry and Families I am so sorry for your loss. My sympathy to you. May God comfort you in a beautiful way. I appreciated my visits with your dad and mother so much as Mercy Hospice Chaplain. I counted Don a good friend. He will be so happy in Heaven reunited with his beloved Pearl. I'm glad he was close to you in the nursing home in Osky, David. I'm sure he was happy with that situation. Don did a wonderful job caring for your mother. I was always impressed with his determination to find a way to do things. I was so sorry that I could not greet you at the visitation or service but I was working at the Moravia School that day.
