Deloris Maxine (Sloan) Miner was born west of Cambria to Lemuel Bud and Wilma (Neal) Sloan on July 9th, 1928. She attended the Cambria school from kindergarten through graduation in 1946. After graduation she worked at the Cambria Read Obituary

Always has a special place in my heart for both Don and Deloris. Seeing them around the Cambria community and growing up, they were more like family to the Pearsons.Remember visiting with her on occasion and she was such a special lady. To the family my sympathy and love.

I remember Delores as a fun loving lady, who always had a smile on her face & a hello in her heart. She will be sadly missed by any who had the pleasure of knowing her. My heart & prayers go out to the family during this very difficult time.
When I think of the State Fair, I think of many great things. Among them are Don and Deloris. It was so wonderful to have met them and have the nice chats each year. I always looked forward to her neatly kept area with the card table and of course, gourds! I will have her playing cards in my memory forever. Our fondest memories of Deloris and her family come from camping next to them at the Iowa State Fair for over 30 years. We have become more like family than friends and have so many memories. We have shared good times and bad but the good far outweigh the bad. Deloris was such a generous person and made everyone who knew her feel special. She was so proud of her family and so loved the times spent together at the fair. We enjoyed the produce from their garden that they always shared with everyone. Deloris will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Our life time of memories at the Iowa State Fair began with Don and Delores...from playing cards to sharing cocktails with Don...you will always hold a special place in our heart!
