Berniece was a very special person. I am a better person for having known her. She was very proud of her family and would tell about happenings when her children were growing up. We had enjoyable trips to Business and Professional Women's Club meetings. We heard about her many work experiences. She had a funny story or two about each one. There was never a dull moment when when we were with her. She will be greatly missed.
Sorry for your loss. Wish I had known her. I am sure she must have known mom because she was born in 1918 in Numa, also. I have enjoyed the memories that SueAnn has shared with us.
She was the sweetest little lady, loved to talk to her when she attended Drake Ave Christian Church. She was such a beautiful inspiration of love and smiles.

Q: How did you meet Delilah "Berniece"?
A: I first met Berniece about 2010 or so, through Business and Professional Women (BPW). I didn't believe she could be that independent, that sharp, and that able-bodied at her age....or was someone pulling my leg? Nope, Berniece truly WAS so very able and I admired her for it. She was an amazing woman.

Always loved the smell of apple butter cooking on the stove when we would visit. Think of you Aunt Bernice when I see apple butter at a farm market. None of them taste like yours. You were a great lady. Miss you. Sorry I couldn't be there today.
When I waited on Berniece over the years at the bank which I will never forget. She always had a big smile and telling me funny stories. For the family. God will comfort you during this difficult time,
