Wow, what a shock and surprise to learn of LTC Cox's passing. It's truly a "small world" I received the Iowa "LEGIONNAIRE" and saw his notice and Corydon, Iowa listed as his home. Well, back in the late 50's and early 60's my parents (Ruth and Dick Bowers both now deceased) would go to Dean and Daryl's home in Davenport, Iowa across street for Madison School. My mom worked at Mercy Hospital, and we would play outdoors with Rick and Nancy. Fast forward many years to my own US Army reserve career of 34 years in the 103D COSCOM .after my own active duty service. I had no Idea that LTC. Cox was one in the same. I only knew him as Colonel Cox. But I did know they had moved to Corydon, Iowa. Rick, Nancy and family sorry to learn of his passing. I've got fond memories of picnics at Lake Storey in Galesburg, Illinois. Daryl Cox gave me my very 1st C-Rat (Spaghetti) I've remembered after all these years and Ricks Army display upstairs.
God Bless all of you.
