Cheryl Pugh's Obituary
Cheryl Ann Pugh, age 61, of Centerville, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines.
Cheryl was born on May 20, 1962, the daughter of Bernard and Jewel (Richmond) Pugh. She graduated from Centerville High School with the Class of 1981. She furthered her education at Northwestern University in Chicago, graduating in 1985 with a degree in European studies.
Cheryl was a Documentary Producer throughout her life. She was incredibly smart, especially in History. She made WWII documentaries, and even interviewed the last surviving Mengele twin.
Cheryl was a member of the MENSA due to her intelligence. In her free time, she enjoyed tennis, traveling, watching the Iowa Hawkeyes play, and especially loved her six cats.
Left to cherish Cheryl's memory are her cousin, Bob (Lauren) Waffle, and a nephew, Matthew Waffle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Jewel Pugh; and an aunt, Darleen Waffle.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM, Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville with Larry Bettis officiating. Burial will follow the service at West Grove Cemetery. Visitation will take place Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville with the family greeting friends from 12:00PM-1:00PM.
