I had the honor of visiting my Great Uncle Carroll when I was a young girl. Mama and Daddy (Ed and Sharon Murdy) were holding revival in Northern Missouri at the time, and we traveled to Mystic to see him. What a sweet, and kind person he was. Rest in peace.
My heart and prayers of our Lord's comfort and peace are with you Deborah, Lori, Melissa and family. We have never met, but uncle Carroll was my dad, Neil Murdy's brother. I only remember being around uncle Carrol a handful of times in my 56 years, but he was always so sweet and kind and I loved to hear his stories about his childhood with my dad. My sister in law Sonja Murdy told me that she and uncle Carroll exchanged Christmas cards every year until last Christmas. Uncle Carroll will be greatly missed and I look forward to the day I will see him and all of our family again in heaven. God bless you all! Your cousin, Sheila (Murdy) Allen in Walnut Hill, Florida.
I have fond memories of Uncle Carroll and Aunt Marjorie. They used to come to Missouri every summer and bring clothes to me that their girls had outgrown. I hope they knew what a blessing that was to me!! Uncle Carroll was a brother to my Grandpa Dale Murdy and I remember him being very kind and soft spoken. I know my dad loved him very much.
