Sherry and family, so sorry to hear of Brian's passing. While I hadn't seen Brian for several years, I still considered him a friend. May the good times you shared with him give you solace in this most difficult time. God Bless.

Lee and family, so sorry to hear of your loss, not sure we will make it to visitation but please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
My sincere sympathy goes out to Brians family and friends. When I heard of Brains passing, I was shocked. I had not seen Brain in many years but it seems like yesterday that we were riding horses together as neighbors. Brain lived right across the road from me. When we were kids we would cross the field to go to each others house and then jump on the horses and go for a ride. We spent countless hours talking. Those memories will always be cherished.
Although we grew apart over the years,I can never forget as young boys on Grampa Spurgeons farm. Brian being the youngest always trying to tag along behind Brad,Kevin, and myself. Today those memories bring a laugh and a tear. My sympathy to all family and friends.
To Brians Family, The Community in Des Moines are really saddened by his death. We are sending our prayers to you all and hope you will know how much he was loved and how much he contributed to Des Moines. We are aware that Brian loved his pets and will be doing a Benefit and contributing the monies in his name to ARL. I hope you approve. Thank You and God Bless. Jim Wilson
Brad and Robin and family, You are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. If you need anything don't hesitate to call. Tracey Matt & family
I have known Brian since 1981. He was always a kind friend to me. He touched so many peoples lives in so many different ways. He always made me smile and laugh. If you needed him to do anything, if it was within his power he would be there to help. He did so much for so many people and the funny thing, it was a lot of the people he did not even know. That is just the kind of person he was. Here in Des Moines when ever he was out and about he would always take time to stop and talk with me when we weren't doing work with each other. He will be greatly missed and I truly am sad that I will not be able have our long chats. To his family and friends I grieve with you and for you. My heart knows your sadness and my thoughts are with you.
Please accept our sincere sympathy and prayers, and may your memories give you peace.
Sherry, Brad, and Robin, I am so sorry for your loss and our thoughts and prayers are with you all. I always loved Brian's sense of humor and his friendship. You all were more of a family to me then mine own was at times and I will forever be indebted to you for that. I will see what I can do to join you for Brian's visitation Monday, but if I can't please know I am with you in thought. Regards, Darin, Kerri & boys
Brian will be missed by many. My condolences go out to his family and friends. I pulled out some pictures of one of the last visits I had with him before I moved away. He will be in our memories forever.
