Billy was such a neat man and never wavered in his beliefs in God and Country. We often talked about our churches and, of course, our old Oldsmobiles . Billy would help me also farming questions before discussing our trucks.
Yes, Oldsmobile's Omaha zone was probably the best of the 28 zones in the country and I know he was a faithful representative.
I miss our talks but know I will see him again.

I worked with Billy at Oldsmobile in Kansas City as a fellow District Mgr. Service. He always shot straight and from the hip!!! Stubborn and hard headed. You never had to wonder where he was at on any subject. If he said he's gonna do something, you could bet it was going to get done. Love his Oldsmobiles through and through. He had some nice ones. He loved to work on them and show them. I attended a few shows with him. I was sure glad he got many years of retirement to have fun. Billy and Jo used to stop by KC and we'd have a nice long lunch to get caught up as they were on their way to Arkansas to spend some time in a resort (I think Bella Vista). I've stayed in touch with him by email for all our years we've known one another, especially since retirement. We are going to miss you big time Billy, there's only one guy like you. From Bill's old friend Kenny Heesch as transcribed by his daughter Nancy Morrison. A buddy for 75 years. High School nights we drove the town square---cars with no speed limit back then. Later we both found our wives and our families enjoyed many weekends together between Omaha and Des Moines. The kids rode bikes and Bill and I tinkered on cars. As we aged, we even shared having alzheimers. Bill loved God and read his Bible early in the morning. I look forward to seeing you soon pal in eternity.
I was a GM dealer in Centerville for many years and spent a lot of time with Billy talking about Oldsmobiles. We had many good talks and his sister Donna was also a true friend of mine. He will be missed. Jim E. Buban, Sr.
I will miss seeing Bill at the Oldsmobile Shows. He was a very kind man with a good sense of humor. I remember asking him how to fix something many times and he would look up at me wearing those black cowboy boots and his answer generally was: "What does the service manual say?" The first place I should have checked is the last thing I would think of, but he knew. He set a good enough example for his kids that they went with him to the Oldsmobile shows. I'm gonna miss Bill Wilson. Thank you for your help with the Hurst Hairy Olds tribute car.
