Beverly E. Keener's Obituary
Beverly E. Keener, age 79 of Centerville, Iowa passed away Monday, April 28, 2014 at the Continental Care Center At Seymour.
Beverly was born January 19, 1935 the daughter of John and Ora (Lovell) Gartin in Chariton, Iowa. She was married to John David Keener July 22, 1955 in Corydon, Iowa. She attended Peoples Baptist Church, was a teacher for Headstart and worked at Wells Manufacturing in Centerville.
Beverly is survived by two daughters, Laura Pickler of Alma, Arkansas and Becky Clark of Centerville; three grandchildren, Marty Pickler and Lacey Pickler both of Alma, AR and Jonathan Clark of Centerville; one great granddaughter, Ellen Clark; two brothers, Don Gartin of Mt Pleasant, Iowa and Randy Gartin of San Diego, CA; two sisters, Carol Taylor of California and Mary Louise Akers of Gresham, Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her husband John; a son, Steve Keener; and a sister-in-law, Norabelle.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville with Reverend Brian Hargrave officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home with the family present from 6-8 PM that evening. Cremation will take place following the funeral service and an inurnment will be held at a later date in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Cincinnati, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the family of Beverly Keener and may be given to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.
