Uncle Ben was so happy when he met Margaret. Since I lived in a different state, it was difficult to keep in touch. After both of my parents passed, I sent my uncle and his wife a Christmas card. However, it was returned to me. Since then, I had no idea where they were at. His side of the family just received notice today, July 19, 2020 that they has passed away. Even though I could not come to the funeral, it would have been proper to let the relatives still in Iowa know about the funeral.
I was shocked and saddened to learn, this morning, that Ben and Margaret had died.....OMG, we went back many, many years, I'd have to say around 50 or so...Ben and Darlene were like my second family, and I always called her my second mom. I spent hours and hours at their house.....whenever they saw me coming, Ben would always have a fresh cup of coffee ready for me.......we'd sit and shoot the breeze for hours! When Ben remarried, I attended their lovely wedding and was thrilled that he had finally found love and happiness once again in his life. Sadly to say, however, we lost touch through the years....I feel so badly about that. Ben and Margaret, may you rest in peace and fly with the angels throughout eternity.
