Wyona Kay Bullard, age 80, passed away on February 13, 2023.
Wyona, also known simply as Kay, was born to Donald and Maxine Moriarty on April 16, 1942 in Centerville, Iowa. She graduated from Cincinnati High School in 1960. On April 1st, 1960, she married Emil Gene Bullard and had three children, Tracey, Lannon and Shannon.
Kay was a much-loved member of her family. She was devoted to her husband and kids and her extended family too. Kay worked for many years at Union Carbide/Viskase. She retired in 1994 and kept busy with her flowers, many trees and large yard.
Kay is survived by her husband of 62 years, Gene Bullard, her three children: Tracey Duffy, Lannon (Tammy) Bullard, and Shannon (Peggy) Bullard. In addition, she is survived by grandchildren: Lindsay Duffy, Joshua, Justin (Elizabeth), and Layneigh Bullard and a great grandchild, Rowan Bullard. Her brother, Jim Moriarty, sisters Regina Gooden and Vicki Cowan also survive her along with many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents and her older sister, Marles Potter.
A wonderful mother, Wyona will be greatly missed.
Funeral services for Kay will be held at 10AM, Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville with Pastor Eric Hoover officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati, Iowa. Visitation will take place Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville, with the family greeting friends from 5-7PM. Memorials in honor of Kay, may be made to East Pleasant Church of Christ in Cincinnati, Iowa and may be mailed to Thomas Funeral Home, ATTN: Bullard family, 501 North 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
