Wilma Tisue's Obituary
Wilma ""Imogene"" Tisue, 84, of Maple Grove Assisted Living, Centerville, Iowa passed away at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville, on Tuesday, August 17, 2010.
W. Imogene Tisue, daughter of Grant and Helen (Shull) Tadlock, was born in rural Monroe County on June 18, 1926. She moved with her parents to the T.Q. Tadlock farm at age 3. She attended Maple Grove School and graduated from Moravia High School in 1944. On November 23, 1947 she married Carl Tisue at the E.U.B. Church in Moravia. They lived in or near Moravia their entire lives and rasied 3 boys. Imogene loved her family and attended many, many ballgames over the years in which her sons played. Her hobby was sewing, especially for others, and she considered it an honor to make a wedding gown for her niece Cherish (Hutt) McDanel.
Survivors include sons, Wayne of Cibolo, Texas, Gary (Mary) of Milan, Illinois, Alan (Lisa) of Keller, Texas. Siblings, Basil (Carla) Tadlock of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Larry (JoAn) Tadlock of Milan, Illinois, Joe (Carol) Tadlock of Whittier, California, Irene Brooks, Moravia, Iowa and Naomi (Rod) Hutt of Moravia, Iowa and sister-in-law, Ernestine Argo of Moravia, Iowa. Also surviving are seven grandchildren.
Imogene was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11 AM, Friday, August 20, 2010 at the Church of the Nazarene in Moravia with Pastors Terry Chapman and Basil Tadlock officiating. There will be no public viewing and a private, family inurnment of the cremains will take place. A social gathering and luncheon will be held at the Church of the Nazarene in the Fellowship Hall following the memorial service. Memorials have been established to the Moravia Fall Festival and may be left at Lange Funeral Home in Moravia, 103 North John St., Moravia, Iowa, 52571.
