Wilma Perkins' Obituary
Wilma Perkins, age 93, of rural Exline, Iowa died Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at her home.
Wilma was born July 26, 1916 in Putnam County, MO. to Orville and Lillian (Newland) Haines. Wilma married John Perkins September 23, 1936 in Centerville, Iowa. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1996. They lived all their life in rural Exline.
Wilma graduated from Exline High School and was a member of the Exline Church of Christ.
Wilma enjoyed making quilts, cross stitching, crotcheting, gardening spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving at two daughters Dixie Scurlock and her husband David of Newtown, PA, and Janet Young and her husband Bill of Mystic,, a brother Donald (Dorothy) Haines, six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, Orville and Lillian Haines, brothers Walter and Lester Haines and a sister Delores Musgrove.
A funeral service will be held at 11AM Monday, June 28, 2010 at the Lange Funeral Home, Centerville. Visitation will be from 10AM until service time at 11AM Monday morning. Burial will be in the Exline Cemetery, Exline, Iowa. A memorial has been established to Exline Community Center and the Exline Cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.langefh.com
