Wilma M. Close Obituary's Obituary
Wilma Close, 87 of Centerville passed away Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Centerville Nursing and Rehab. Wilma was born to Wilber 'Dink' & Grace (Hamilton) Magnall on June 10, 1923 in Numa. She married Joe Close on July 27, 1946. Wilma enjoyed traveling, driving around the lake with Joe, fishing and shopping. She was Valedictorian of Mystic High School Class of 1941. Wilma is survived by her son, Jim Close(Myra) of Mystic, three grandchildren; John Close(Natalie) of Mystic, Kimberly Elliott(Todd) of Omaha, NE, Jamie Close(Amanda) of Clarksville, TN, six great grandchildren and one great -great granddaughter, sister Marguerite Hunt of Washington, Iowa, niece, Susie Sellers of Oskaloosa and a nephew, Max McGrann of Geraldine, Montana. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe on June 8, 2010, an infant son, a sister Margery Ann McGrann and her parents. Funeral service will be 1pm Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Chapman officiating. Visitation will be all day Tuesday with the family present from 6-8 pm at Thomas Funeral Home. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery near Mystic.
