Willis Delbert Rowe's Obituary
Willis Delbert Rowe, age 88 of Moulton, Iowa passed away Thursday, April 09, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
He was born May 29, 1926 in Monroe, South Dakota, the son of John and Gertrude (Schulte) Rowe. Willis married Edith Rose Stump on October 13, 1949 and to this union three children were born, Linda LaRae Rowe (Leach) of Lafayette, Colorado, Gary Lee Rowe of Phoenix, Arizona and Sherry Rowe (Robbins) of Unionville, Missouri. Following Edith's death later in life, Willis was united in marriage to Mary Shearer of Solon, Iowa.
Willis was a World War II veteran, serving in the United States Navy. He was also a bricklayer where he worked in many states, including Missouri, Iowa and Colorado. In his free time he had a passion for bowling.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gertrude (Schulte) Rowe; father, John Gaylor Rowe; two wives, Edith (Stump) Rowe and Mary (Shearer) Rowe; a son, Gary Lee Rowe; a brother, Dwain Rowe; and a sister, Lillie Sevda Rowe.
Willis is survived by his two daughters, Linda Leach of Lafayette, Colorado and Sherry (Carl) Robbins of Unionville, Missouri; two siblings, Ralph Raymond Rowe and John Clemmie Rowe; numerous nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He will be missed by many.
No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the family of Willis Delbert Rowe and may be given to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
