William D. Pettibone's Obituary
William (Bill) Pettibone, age 47 of Rathbun, Iowa passed away October 17, 2009.
Bill was born July 20, 1962, the son of Tom and Leta (Long) Pettibone in Centerville, Iowa. He graduated from Moravia High School with the Class of 1980. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Methodist Church.
Bill is survived by his daughter Megan Pettibone, of Moravia, Iowa; siblings, John Pettibone of Tucson, Arizona, Paul (Lindsey) Pettibone of Moravia, Iowa, Jackie (Ronald) Whicker of Moravia, Iowa; nieces and nephews, Lisa Spencer, Jerrad Naughtin, Jessi Naughtin, Kyler Pettibone, Emersyn Pettibone, and Abby VanDeventer. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Thursday, October 22, 2009 at the Lange Funeral Home in Moravia with Pastor Gene Kubli officiating. A burial will follow at the Main Station Cemetery in near Rathbun, Iowa. A visitation will be held Wednesday at the Moravia Funeral Home with family present from 6-8 PM. A memorial has been established to the William Pettibone Memorial Fund and may be left at to the Lange Funeral Home in Moravia, Iowa. Condolences may be left online at www.thomaslangefuneralhome.com
